PERMACULTURE

Working with what is already here

Permaculture is a way of designing our lives and landscapes in relationship with the systems already present. My approach begins with observation and works with the land to create productive, interconnected systems that support both our everyday lives and the surrounding ecosystem. By working with natural cycles and closing loops where possible, we can utilize our existing resources more efficiently to support and strengthen the whole.

Work With Us

On Our Land

We are putting much of this into practice on our half acre in Lake Charles. Here we are slowly transforming an open suburban lawn into a more diverse and productive landscape through growing food, building soil, creating habitat, and thoughtfully utilizing the resources available to us.

Work With Us

Every property and project is different. We can start with your land, your goals, and the questions you have, then determine what information or planning would actually be useful. Challenges can become opportunities when we step back, look at the system as a whole, and learn to work with what the land is already showing us.

Aerial Mapping & Land Data

Drone imagery and spatial data can be powerful tools for understanding the bigger picture while revealing details that we may otherwise miss. We use these tools where they can provide meaningful information and support better decision-making.

Site & Resource Analysis

Understanding your land means looking at how its resources and conditions relate to one another and affect the system as a whole. We consider things like light, water, soil, vegetation, infrastructure, and waste streams to identify opportunities, limitations, and useful connections.

Ecological & Permaculture Planning

Guided by permaculture principles, we can help build efficient and productive systems that connect food, soil, water, habitat, and everyday life. Plans are shaped by the goals of the people who live there and the conditions of the land itself.

Consultation & Collaboration

Maybe you want to start your first garden, or maybe you want to collaborate on a larger land project. Whatever you're working with, we can help turn your ideas into a practical path forward.

Tell Us About Your Land

You don't need to know exactly what kind of help you need. Tell us a little about your property, including its size and current use, what you're working toward, and any questions or challenges you're running into.
